This report presents the findings of a study concerned with determining what water-bearing formations are present in Mississippi County, including thickness and lateral extent, depths below land surface, respective water levels, ability to yield water to wells, the chemical quality of water, extent of utilization, and the areas of substantial recharge to deposits of Quaternary age.

It includes:

• A stratigraphic chart of the major divisions of geologic time and rock units present in the subsurface in the study area
