This report contains information relating to potable water within the Cave City graben area of study. It was conceived to test whether existing water well data coupled with basic geology could be used to illuminate yield patterns that might be useful in predicting potential production of new wells, especially to see if there was any clearly observable influence of significant faults on the water well yields.

The report includes:

• A geologic map of the study area displaying surface sedimentary units and their structure.
• A table showing the distribution of yields of wells used in the study.
• Two figures displaying frequency of well yields and relationship of depth to well yield in the study area.
• An Appendix with water well data for the 375 wells used in this evaluation.
