General Description

This guidebook covers a two-day field trip in the Ouachita Mountains. The first day's emphasis is on the northeastern portion of the Ouachita Mountains covering 15 stops to view Paleozoic rock outcrops between Little Rock, to near Russellville and on to Hot Springs, returning to Little Rock at the end of the day. The second day's emphasis is on the central and southern Ouachita Mountains covering 15 stops to view Paleozoic rock outcrops from Hot Springs to Mount Ida, Glenwood, and DeGray Spillway near Arkadelphia. Information on three alternative stops is also presented.

The guidebook includes:
