General Description

This report provides geologic information on the Atoka Formation in Arkansas. The route is divided covers two days. It starts at Fayetteville in Washington County and ends the first day at Fort Smith in Sebastian County, going from the Ozarks to the Arkansas Valley. The second day extends from Fort Smith to south of Waldron in Scott County, going from the Arkansas Valley to the Ouachita Mountains. There are a total of 19 stops in the two-day trip.

The guidebook includes:

  • Correlation chart of Carboniferous rocks in the Ozarks, Arkansas Valley, and Ouachita Mountains regions
