The primary objective of the project is to characterize the organic geochemistry and thermal maturation of selected geologic units within the Fayetteville Shale study area. The information generated from this study is the most extensive collection of published geochemical and thermal maturation data from the Fayetteville Shale Formation to date and will facilitate petroleum exploration programs in Arkansas.
